NRS offers a network test and validation service to assist customers in the installation and configuration of multi-site network based hardware and software systems. This service ensures the proper operation of network hardware and software in the designated network at a predetermined site. Network Test & Validation is defined as the ability of the hardware/software system to provide appropriate and necessary bandwidth and integrity for major applications running at the defined sites. The network protocols and applications are defined in detail and validated as a result of the analysis activity.
The service is offered in three phases:
In Phase I NRS will be on site to setup test hardware and software and construct a detailed project plan.
In Phase II, NRS performs continuous testing for a two week test period. Load tests consist of a representative selection of typical file types and sizes anticipated for the network.
Generation of error and exception conditions are part of this test to insure normal system operation during typical error conditions. Examples of this would be the capability of the systems to handle broadcast and multicast storms as well as denial of service attacks. NRS will address any exceptions or inconsistencies in the system operation which may be anomalous in the final test report.
